INTEREST RATES
The two-day meeting of the Monetary Policy Council (MPC) begins on Wednesday, and on Thursday it will announce its decision on interest rates in Poland. Analysts polled by Reuters expect them to remain unchanged.
WINDFALL TAX
Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski said that solutions for a windfall tax for energy companies are expected to be ready in April, private television Polsat News reported.
SUBMARINES
Negotiations regarding Poland's purchase of three submarines, to be manufactured by Swedish company Saab SAABb.ST, are expected to conclude in June. The contract is worth several billion zlotys, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
APARTMENT SALES UP
Despite rising prices and macroeconomic uncertainty, apartment sales in Poland increased by as much as 40% year-on-year in March, Puls Biznesu daily reported, citing data from Otodom.
